Packet Sniffing:
Data is distributed on the Internet by distributing the packets. Detecting and recording data packets before reaching your destination is known as jacket sniffing.
Patch:
The software released for use by software companies has many flaws. Whichever advantage the hacker / cracker raises Software companies are issued small software programs periodically to improve these shortcomings, called patches. These patch software work only with the main software.
Scare Ware:
This computer is a type of virus that affects the computer connected to the Internet. In this, the user connected to the Internet is given the lure of downloading free antivirus or free software. It appears on authorized software, but as soon as it downloads, the virus enters the computer.
Phishing:
Trying to get Internet users’ username, password and other personal information on the Internet is known as phishing. Fake e-mails or messages are sent to the user for this, which seem to come from a legitimate website. In these e-mails or messages, the user is asked to enter their username, login id or password and other details. On the basis of which the information about the user’s confidential details can be obtained.
Digital Signature:
This is a method of establishing an identity, acceptance of an individual, and verifying any facts on a computer network. It also takes care of network security.
Digital signature technology is used to print any document stored on a computer without signing it. Digital signatures are associated with a message or document. And certify its validity. Digital Signature is stored in the coded form on the computer so that it is kept away from the reach of unauthorized users. Its use is being practiced in e-commerce and e-governance.
Spam :
The message sent to unwanted and illegally by many people using computers and the Internet is called spam. This is known as misuse of the network. This is a non-distributional distribution of e-mail messages that are possible due to overlapping in the e-mail system. Spam usually does not cause any kind of damage to the computer network and data. In fact, Spam is a small program that is sent to thousands of internet sites so that they can be displayed repeatedly on the Internet user’s site.
Spam is mainly an advertisement, which people generally do not want to see. Hence, the attention of the user is received by sending it repeatedly. Since Spam sends the cost of the user on the client or service provider, it is used as a cheap medium of advertising. Due to the vastness of the Internet, it is difficult to catch the spammer. This can be avoided using Spam Filter or Anti-Spam Software.
